Introduction
South Asia is a region located in the southern part of Asia, consisting of the land from the Himalayan peaks to the Indian Ocean. South Asia has a rich history which generated major religions and material wealth for the other parts of the world. South Asia has a diversity as a result of various invasions, colonization, and the push toward independence. Even though the countries of South Asia were marginalized during the Cold War, they have been increasing world involvement and achieving major developments since 1990s. Also South Asia is renowned for its population; although the region is home to 1.4 billion people more than other world regions, yet it is known as the smallest world region.
